What Newt’s Reading Most voters stay silent on their support for President Trump for fear of backlash from friends and employers. -Newt Meet a Secret Trump Voter By Bret Stephens New York Times A registered Democrat in her 50s, Chris fears the repercussions of announcing her support for President Trump, comparing it to having to come out as a lesbian again. Chris is well-educated and well-traveled, fitting none of the stereotypes of an average Trump voter. Among the reasons for her support for Trump, she cites her rising 401(k) and falling gas prices, brought about, to some extent, by the Trump administration. She mentions that what happens in the Middle East and Afghanistan does not affect her in the slightest and that she was priced out of the private insurance market due to Obamacare. Most significantly, with a homeless encampment near her house that continues to grow, Chris worries that crime has come to her neighborhood and that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will not be able to resolve the issue. When asked about the Democratic ticket, she criticized Joe Biden’s inability to get anything substantial accomplished in over four decades of congressional service and admonished Kamala Harris for not having a solid set of political beliefs. One may easily dismiss Chris, a former Bernie Sanders supporter, as an anomalous Republican voter in a blue state. However, the lessons of 2016 require one to ask: If the Democrats lost Chris, who else are they losing? We must not let the media ignore the Senate report on Biden corruption. -Newt Biden Family's Corrupt Ties to Foreign Oligarchs, Officials Met With Mainstream Media Yawns By Sen. Ron Johnson Fox News Many mainstream media outlets, including Politico, the New York Times, and the Washington Post, turned a blind eye to the recent Senate report about the Biden family’s ties to foreign oligarchs. However, the Senate uncovered that a top State Department official was concerned that Russian President Vladimir Putin was using Hunter Biden’s association with Burisma, a corrupt Ukrainian energy company, to undermine US-Ukraine diplomacy. The report also states that the Bidens maintained ties with Chinese nationals connected to the Chinese Communist Party and the People’s Liberation Army, resulting in a massive cash flow to the Bidens of over $4.7 billion in “consulting fees.” Mainstream outlets have dismissed these findings as repetitions of information already in the public domain. But if this information was already public and well known, then why did the media not try and investigate further? The news media has turned every stone looking for information with which to attack President Trump, including phony allegations of Russian collusion, but abandons every pretense of impartiality while dealing with Joe Biden. By uncovering the links between the Biden family and oligarchs from nations hostile to the US, the Senate has done the job of the mainstream media. Rural Pennsylvania voter registration is higher for Republicans than Democrats, a positive sign for Trump winning the state. -Newt Rural Pennsylvania Turns More Red, but Is It Enough for Trump? By Salena Zito Washington Examiner In the suburbs of Pittsburgh, many Bernie Sanders supporters were disappointed when the state of Pennsylvania voted for Joe Biden in the Democratic primary. In the last week, many local officials from southwestern Pennsylvania have chosen to renounce their affiliation with the Democratic Party and join the GOP. Among them is the sheriff of Westmoreland County, James Albert, who stated that the destruction caused by riots to small businesses and the attacks on innocent people in the last few months were what pushed him over the edge. Given his pro-life and pro-Second Amendment stances, the move did not seem too unnerving. Fayette County Sheriff Jay Custer also quietly changed his party registration to Republican, noting the drastic shift in the Democratic Party away from its blue collar roots. Custer said that he joined the Democratic Party when it was the party of coal miners, steel workers, and farmers, but those days are now long gone. Aside from individual switches, President Trump won Pennsylvania in 2016 with the help of voters in the mentioned counties and others surrounding Pittsburgh. While Joe Biden hopes to win by running up the numbers in Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs, it’s unclear how many counties are switching to the Republican side like Westmoreland and Fayette. These realignments can be crucial for President Trump, especially if some Sanders supporters choose to stay home. “Watch. They will fail. -Newt BU Professor Ripped After He Implies Amy Coney Barrett Is a ‘White Colonizer’ By Amanda Woods New York Post Ibram X. Kendi, a Boston University professor and the author of the New York Times bestseller, How to Be an Antiracist, suggested that Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett was a “white colonizer” for adopting two Haitian children and using them as “props.” He argued that certain white colonizers adopt black children in an attempt to “civilize” them and teach them their superior ways while removing their biological parents from the picture. Critics immediately voiced their concerns regarding Kendi’s argument. Journalist Jonah Goldberg asked why anyone would insinuate that Judge Barrett had a sinister motive in adopting Haitian children. Conservative commentator Trish Regan said that Democrats had descended to a new low with Kendi’s attack and that Americans should not forget these smears. Other Twitter users called on Boston University to fire Kendi for his statements, but the university remained unreachable for comment. Despite the widespread condemnation of Kendi’s comments, some echoed his concerns. NextGen America’s John Lee Brougher contended that interracial adoption was always fraught with trauma, adding that he needed more information regarding the circumstances of Judge Barrett’s adoptions. Voter fraud using mail-in ballots is real. -Newt Voter Fraud and the Mail-in Method By The Editorial Board Washington Times While nervous voters are typically encouraged to trust the system every time a presidential election comes around, that is likely not to be solid advice this time. Last week, a Democratic county commissioner was charged with running a ballot-harvesting scheme by mailing ballots out to ineligible voters. The Justice Department also opened an investigation in Pennsylvania, where ballots from the 2016 election were found in the trash. In an August 29 piece in the New York Post titled, “Confessions of a voter fraudster: I was a master at fixing mail-in ballots,” a Democratic operative admitted to directing teams of fraudsters to alter mail-in ballots in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Most recently, the president of Project Veritas, James O’Keefe, leveled accusations of ballot harvesting following a sting operation. O’Keefe produced video evidence against Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN). Authorities are investigating that incident. An election fraud database operated by The Heritage Foundation counts 1,298 proven cases of voter fraud, resulting in 1,121 criminal convictions. While many more Republicans are concerned about voter fraud this November than Democrats, the partisan divide is not hard to explain. Republicans watched Democrats and the media do all in their power to sabotage the Trump presidency and hence, it seems plausible to Republicans that the same forces would use mail-in voting to dislodge Trump from the White House.
