The 75th anniversary of the end of World War II is a good time for each of us to pause and remember the sacrifice of the many Americans and allies who died defeating Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. It is also a good time for us to remember the lesson that appeasing evil only allows it to grow stronger.
Interesting things are going on, and the winds of the election are beginning to shift. A recent poll has Minnesota on the verge of going for President Trump, which has not voted for a Republican since 1972. The gap is widening in Georgia for President Trump as well.
Democrats are in trouble, and they know it.
For months, Democrats and their allies in the media have been encouraging the riots in Portland, Minneapolis, and elsewhere. Those who didn’t support the mayhem simply ignored the violence, refusing to condemn it.
Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) called for “unrest in the streets.” Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) refused to condemn Antifa. Media outlets stretched the rules of syntax to their limit to avoid reporting on the arson, looting, and assault that has been so obvious.
There is the fundamental difference between the parties’ visions for America: hope versus hate. We often hear that love trumps hate. I like to think it’s true. At the DNC, however, I saw hate for everything it seemed. But at the RNC, I saw love for America. And that love will protect and save our great country.
The only way to break violence is to “keep arresting people until there’s no one left,” Newt said on Fox & Friends on Monday in the wake of unrest over the police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Watching the mayor of Portland for the last 40 minutes has been excruciatingly painful. He’s clearly a very deep partisan. His comments towards President Trump were stunningly hateful, direct and vicious.
