What Newt’s Reading After President Trump's speech and through the weekend, the angry mob continues to run wild and harass citizens in Washington DC. - Newt Why Democrats and Their Liberal Media Minions Are Running Scared By Michael Goodwin New York Post With Joe Biden looking shaky, are Democrats and the media starting to collapse? Their cries that President Trump is responsible for the violence across the country while also claiming that it's just a “small wave” of crime are outrageous. Democrats failed to condemn the deaths and damages from the riots, giving the GOP the chance to call Biden out for his lack of action. Following President Trump’s surge in the polls, Biden is now scrambling to recover, forced to address the violence in the most cautious way possible. The media calling the protests “mostly peaceful” is nowhere near enough to rescue Biden now. Just look at the recent New York Times headline “Apocalyptic Scenes in City Streets? Actually, Urban Crime Is Still at Historic Lows.” The higher murder rates in New York, Chicago, and New Orleans would beg to differ. The left can argue all they want that “things could be worse,” but that message is not encouraging to Americans. With President Trump on the rise, Democrats are doing whatever it takes to pursue victory, even if it costs them their morals. Six Minnesota Democratic mayors are endorsing President Trump for reelection after voicing that Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden hasn't done anything to help working-class people. - Newt Dem Mayor in MN Endorsing Trump Because 'He Is Looking Out for Our Way of Life' By Joshua Nelson Fox News Mayor Andrea Zupancich of Babbitt, Minn., explained why she is backing President Trump this November. Zupancich is one of six Democratic mayors from Minnesota who recently announced their support for the president. Vice President Pence visited the state last week. The group of mayors said that they “don’t recognize the Democratic Party” and that Democrats’ recent actions no longer align with their cities’ needs. Zupancich stressed that “President Trump has been working for us,” referring to the emphasis on mining in the area that Democrats want to end. The working-class in Minnesota and beyond feel that Joe Biden no longer cares about them, proving how important the next two months of campaigning will be. The four nights of the Republican National Convention (RNC) last week were filled with a hopeful, diverse vision for the future of America and ALL Americans that simply cannot be denied. - Newt The RNC’s Hopeful, Inclusive Vision for America By Rob Smith Breitbart Last week, the Republican Party highlighted its hopes and vision for America at the GOP’s national convention, where President Trump looked to build momentum. The message of regaining hope for America’s future was a common theme during the convention. Speakers of all backgrounds expressed a shared love for America. Congressional candidate Madison Cawthorn, for example, is paralyzed but stood for his country nonetheless. Despite what one hears in the media, Republicans hope to make the United States more inclusive, instead of dividing Americans into “increasingly smaller victim groups” like Democrats. Resorting to violence and having only a message of President Trump “being bad” inspire little hope when compared to Republicans. The detention of foreign nationals from Australia and Canada is a signal to Western countries to be wary of the bullying tactics of China's Communist Party. - Newt Beijing’s Bullying Escalates Down Under By The Editorial Board Wall Street Journal The Chinese Communist Party is continuing its belligerence toward Australia. Recently, China detained Cheng Lei, an Australian citizen and anchor for a Beijing media outlet, with no explanation. China has already imposed tariffs and other trade restrictions on nearby Australia. With its immense economic and military strength, China hopes to flex its muscles and force reluctant countries to comply with its wishes. Last week, for example, the Chinese government said that the Czech Republic’s Senate speaker would “pay a heavy price” if the country continues to trade with Taiwan. If China is allowed to continue its current aggression, the countries surrounding it will be in grave danger. The United States must support Australia and other allies to fight against the Chinese Communist Party. Sheriffs reject the Oregon governor’s plan to send more law enforcement to help Portland because the newly elected DA releases criminals immediately, and the liability for their deputies would be too great. - Newt Portland Protesters Target City’s Mayor Amid Rising Tensions By Gillian Flaccus Associated Press After months of riots and violence, the mob has turned against Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler. On Wheeler’s birthday, a small crowd gathered outside his apartment building and set a fire while breaking windows. Wheeler, however, has been more focused on blaming President Trump for his city’s problems than taking action to stop the riots. And nothing has been done about the recent murder of a supporter of President Trump during recent riots in Portland. While Police Chief Chuck Lovell has condemned those escalating and causing the violence, Wheeler has been reluctant to level any criticism at the rioters. Many Portland residents are upset that their mayor is more interested in creating “political theater” with President Trump over Twitter than in solving actual problems.
