Newt updates from Rome, where Italy reported a decline in COVID-19 cases which dropped to 2.3% yesterday. If this trend-line continues, it’s very hopeful news for the country.

Thanks to Operation Warp Speed, a public-private partnership initiated by the Trump administration, we’re going to have a coronavirus vaccine in record time. But there’s a problem: Democrats are undermining public trust in the vaccine. Specifically, Democratic politicians and their allies in the media are questioning whether it would be safe to take the vaccines currently being developed. By doing so, these voices are risking American lives — seemingly for political gain.
So much has been said that is inaccurate about Covid-19 and President Trump’s response that Newt felt he had to set the record straight.

What’s so cowardly about Biden’s conduct is that he sits back and attacks his opponent without offering any alternative way of dealing with the coronavirus. And the complicit media trying to get him elected doesn’t challenge him. Biden has never been pushed to say specifically what he would have done differently than President Trump.
The discussion about how and when K-12 will be returning for in-person instruction has dominated the policy debate over the past couple of weeks. However, little attention has been given to the other much larger elephant in the room, college campuses.
The next time you see a panic-inducing article about COVID-19 in the propaganda media, it may be accurate – or it may just be designed to frighten you and defeat President Trump.

How can you possibly have a public policy for dealing with COVID if your data is eight weeks old? However, that understates the problem last week when the CDC reported 1,099 deaths. The World Health Organization estimated American deaths at 4,869. The Washington Post had a range between 4,900 and 6,300, and The New York times reported 5,379 for the week. Now, how can you possibly shape policy when you have a variance of 600 percent among the different estimates?
