The New York Times launched the 1619 Project last year with an ambitious aim: To “reframe” American history, portraying 1619 as the year of America’s “true founding.” However, after a barrage of criticism from scholars on both sides of the political spectrum, the 1619 Project started to let some air out of the balloon. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is a moderate, someone with a practical, bipartisan approach to politics. At least that’s what the media tells us.
This is what Klobuchar thinks about the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and President Trump’s intent to replace Ginsburg on the Supreme Court: “Literally, our democracy is at stake.”
