In the spirit of the holiday season, the Gingrich Foundation is pleased to announce that our December Charity of the Month is Catholic Charities USA in recognition of its outstanding commitment to helping millions of Americans in need.
Catholic Charities USA was formed in 1910 to act as the “attorney for the poor.” Today, it has grown to become one of the nation’s largest providers of social services. Catholic Charities maintains an extraordinary range of programs, which provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, financial assistance, adoption services, disaster relief, and other emergency services to approximately 10 million people each year.
Over the past 18 months, Catholic Charities has worked on the front lines to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This holiday season, the continuing effects of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as economic woes, have put millions of families in dire financial straits. An estimated 100 million people may be driven into poverty and hunger due to high prices and inflation.
By helping people to secure food, housing, reliable transportation, counseling, and other necessities, Catholic Charities is working to make a difference in the lives of millions.
This Christmas season, we hope you will join us in supporting Catholic Charities USA.
