The U.S. has been ruled by fear and paranoia for too long throughout this pandemic and we must hope other state leaders follow this same route.

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has been outspoken about his views on COVID-19 over the past year: no more lockdowns and getting back to pre-pandemic freedoms. This week, his new hire for state surgeon general, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, echoed the same sentiments about how Florida will operate.
“We’re done with fear,” stated Ladapo. “What’s been happening over the past year is that people have been taking the science and they’ve been mispresenting it,” he went on to say, promising to give the truth on data and information. Ladapo also emphasized he believes getting vaccinated is a personal choice, but still promoted vaccine safety along with other preventive measures.
Having a medical expert like Dr. Ladapo address the state honestly and with common sense is a breath of fresh air. The country has been ruled by fear and paranoia for too long throughout this pandemic and we must hope other state leaders follow this same route.
