Team Trump – the Backroom Warriors

by Margaret Smith The Democratic party knows that Joe Biden is not a strong candidate for president. That’s why his whole campaign revolves around the phrase “Settle for Biden.” The idea is that Biden may not be the best candidate, but he’s better than President Donald Trump because his leadership style is more orthodox and similar to the old-school Washington ways (aka the swamp). Around 56 percent of Americans voting for Biden are only doing so because Biden is “not Trump.” Biden’s policies do not seem to matter to them compared to Trump’s leadership style, which they find disagreeable. What the “Settle for Biden” campaign and roughly 56 percent of Biden supporters seem to forget is that the presidency and White House is bigger than one person. Settling for Biden is settling for the mix of radicals and old guard establishment Biden will appoint to his cabinet and administration. Voting for Trump, however, is voting for the men and women in Trump’s team who have allowed the United States to thrive. Vice President Mike Pence has been strong and unyielding in his pro-life stance, constantly taking steps to lessen the atrocities that happen behind closed doors at abortion clinics. For generations, Planned Parenthood had thrown aborted fetuses into landfills like nothing more than garbage. Pence would not stand for it, signing laws that require the respect of aborted fetuses through cremation and proper disposal. Vice President Pence is leading the fight for life, and thus a vote for Trump is a vote for life. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has worked with countless other nations to further Americans international interests, setting up the historic summit between the US and North Korea and negotiating the return of American prisoners of war. Pompeo is leading an age where American hostages being held overseas have the hope of coming home. Kayla Mueller was an American hostage killed by ISIS under the Obama administration, and Pompeo has refused to let any more Americans live her same story. Even Kayla’s parents claim that Kayla would still be alive if Trump’s administration, with Pompeo, had been in the White House at the time instead of the Obama-Biden administration. A vote for Biden risks more American lives, like Kayla’s. A vote for Trump and Pompeo is a vote for returning American prisoners of war home. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson has pushed for the future of opportunity zones in low-income areas. The “Opportunity Zone initiative elevates our Nation’s once forgotten communities from economic distress to flourishing areas with new hope and promise,” uplifting people of all races, backgrounds, and economic status. Carson is pioneering a new age of increased economic opportunity and equality, bringing hope to people and areas that had given up. A vote for Trump is a vote for Carson and his promise to bring opportunity to low-income areas, while radical Democrats under Joe Biden just want to take this opportunity away. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin has been reaching across party lines to offer economic relief to Americans during this pandemic, negotiating the passage of the CARES Act and promising to lower taxes for Americans in 2021 should Trump win another four years. He is still working with House Democrats to pass another stimulus bill, refusing to give up and throw temper tantrums as Speaker Nancy Pelosi has done. A vote for Trump is a vote for Mnuchin and a bipartisan effort to rebuild the economy and save American livelihoods during the pandemic. There are countless other members of Trump’s administration who have fought to better the lives of the American people. President Trump has used his unorthodox leadership to unite these exceptional, bright, and passionate people to run the behind the scenes operations of the nation. A vote for Trump in the upcoming election is a vote for the patriots in Trump’s team. Voting for Biden solely because he is “not Trump” ignores the complexities and inner workings of the White House – and the genuine progress Trump and his team have made for Americans. Americans who care about the sanctity of life, rescuing American prisoners from overseas, providing opportunities for Americans who are struggling to get by, and a bipartisan effort to pass economic relief during the pandemic must not “settle for Biden.” Instead, they must look past Trump’s unorthodox leadership style and vote to re-elect Team Trump.
