What Newt’s Reading: Nancy Pelosi and Democrats should be embarrassed by their phony political crisis with the United States Postal Service. - Newt Nancy Pelosi Goes Politically Postal By The Editorial Board Wall Street Journal In yet another conspiracy against Donald Trump, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is now claiming that the president’s attempts to strangle the United State Postal Service (USPS) are meant to hack the election. Pelosi is not the only Democrat spreading this conspiracy. Hakeem Jeffries, chairman of the Democratic Caucus, wrote to the FBI this week requesting a criminal investigation of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. There’s just one problem: there’s no evidence of any criminal collusion between President Trump and the USPS leadership. Veteran and Longtime USPS worker and Senior Vice President Stephen Kearney called the conspiracy “the most far-flung thing I think I’ve ever heard.” The claims by Democrats that the USPS has been removing mail-sorting machines are true, but such removals have taken place routinely for years to save money on unneeded services and move some machines to higher-traffic areas. The Postal Service “has enough money to last until 2021,” and is not involved in any conspiracy to affect the election. The accusations are nothing more than a show for the media to help Joe Biden win in November. Well done and very much on point. Great job Kimberly Klacik. - Newt Republican Running for Elijah Cummings's Seat Goes Viral With Black Lives Matter Ad By Rebecca Klar The Hill Kimberly Klacik is the Republican looking to fill the seat of Rep. Elijah Cumming (D-MD), who died last year. Klacik is bringing her African-American heritage and views on what caused Baltimore’s poor condition — Democratic policies — to defeat Rep. Kweisi Mfume (D), who has filled the remainder of Cumming’s term. A recent ad that Klacik ran is gaining traction as she hopes to become the first Republican to win Maryland’s 7th District. “Baltimore has been run by the Democrat Party for 53 years. What is the result of their decades of leadership?” she asks in her ad, which quickly gained millions of views. She asserts that she is running because “All Black Lives Matter,” specifically those that have been affected by drugs, alcohol, and crime in Baltimore. Klacik tweeted a thank you to all her supporters on Tuesday and looks to continue her momentum in the coming months. Night one of the DNC turns out to be flop, as some compare it to a PBS telethon. - Newt Critics Pan DNC Virtual Convention, Compare to 'PBS Telethon,' Long YouTube Ad By Joseph Wulfsohn Fox News The Democratic National Convention kicked off virtually this week, receiving a wave of negative reviews. A number of writers from different publications tweeted their feedback as the convention dragged on. "This feels more like a sad telethon than a rousing call to arms. I get the limitations of the format, but man this is slow so far," CNN host S.E. Cupp said of the event. Podcast host Kyle Kulinski stated: "If this convention is proving anything to me it's that Democrats still definitely have the ability to f--- this up and lose to Trump again." Not exactly five stars. While many are aware of the limitations of a virtual convention, the lack of creativity and real substance stood out to critics. With four nights total for the event, it will be interesting to see whether Democrats change their approach or style after hearing negative feedback. He outlines why he is voting for President Trump in November. Terrell makes it clear that his old party left him after handing the “reigns over to extremists” and abandoning its traditional ways. He attacks the Democrats’ presidential candidate, Joe Biden, calling him out over past comments and how little he has done for black people in his nearly five decades in politics. He asks why should he “bow down” to the Democrats and a man who has done nothing to prove himself to the black community? Instead of backing Antifa and other movements, Terrell hopes that Democrats will simply support law and order during such a chaotic time in America. Instead, Democratic politicians are submitting to the rioters. Terrell sees President Trump as the candidate who will fight for America and its safety and plans to cast his vote for him in a few months. President Trump has acted on a payroll tax cut because the do-nothing Pelosi Congress can't do its job. This order, along with the tax relief provided by the CARES Act, helps around 90 percent of Americans and will boost the economy. While employers must comply with withholding payroll taxes through the end of the year, voters can make the change permanent during this election cycle. The expenses from these taxes are significant, and it is estimated that President Trump's “tax deferral may put $100 billion worth of extra pay back in the pockets of US workers.” Joe Biden, however, sees this move as a “reckless war on Social Security,” despite President Obama doing the exact same thing while Biden served under him. Trump is looking to take action at a time when it is needed as he looks to get America on the road to recovery amid the coronavirus pandemic.
