A black American born to a single mother of three, Donalds went on to become a conservative Republican who ran for and won the congressional seat in Florida’s 19th District this year. President Trump’s actions to empower black Americans and create more economic opportunities for them resonated with Donalds and millions of other Americans across the country. Now Donalds is in Washington with a diverse staff, eager to make a difference. His story and others like it reflect the will and efforts of the GOP to expand the party and reach out to voters of all backgrounds. Republicans will continue to be the party of freedom and opportunity and are poised to inspire more people from minority communities to become part of the GOP. The US strategic framework for the Indo-Pacific, recently declassified by the Trump administration, is an essential document that should guide American strategy moving forward. -Newt US Strategic Framework for the Indo-Pacific The United States is an Indo-Pacific nation. For the last three years, the US strategic framework for the Indo-Pacific has served as the Trump administration’s overarching guide for implementing President Trump’s 2017 national security strategy within the region. In February 2018, Trump approved the framework for implementation across executive branch departments and agencies. The document, which was recently declassified and released, “has guided US whole-of-government actions to advance regional prosperity and stability, including sovereignty, freedom of navigation and overflight, reciprocity in trade and investment, respect for individual rights and rule of law, and transparency.” Both Democrats and Republicans should loudly condemn that Sen. Pat Leahy, not Chief Justice John Roberts, is presiding over former President Trump’s impeachment trial. -Newt What It Means That Leahy — Not Roberts, Not Harris — Will Run Trump’s Senate Trial By Ken Blackwell Breitbart Both parties should condemn the fact that Democratic Sen. Pat Leahy will preside over former President Trump’s impeachment trial rather than Supreme court Chief Justice John Roberts or Vice President Kamala Harris. The Constitution sets out a narrow and limited role for removing the president without going to the ballot box, commanding that the chief justice preside when the Senate holds an impeachment trial. A vice president has too much to gain by presiding. Furthermore, the chief justice is life-tenured and is the head of the judiciary, further ensuring due process rather than mob rule. Leahy, however, is not an impartial judge; he’s a political actor. He’s already called for Trump’s conviction — something that would require him to recuse himself in a federal court. And Harris is not presiding as president of the Senate because the Biden administration knows this impeachment farce is a political loser. But they will nonetheless cave to the demands of the far-left wing of the Democratic Party.
