Last week, we asked readers, "Should candidates be required to debate before voting starts?” A total of 396 readers responded to the question.
The vast majority of respondents said candidates should be required to debate before voting begins with 95.96 percent of the vote (380 readers). Only 4.04 percent (16 readers) said candidates should not be required to debate prior to elections.
